Carter Beal Conservation Area, Bourne, MA

Just 5 of us started with black clouds in the north and blue sky in the south. When we were done with our 2.7 mile hike the sun was shining everywhere. We hiked from the Carter Beal Conservation Area in Bourne to an Old Indian Cemetery on Herring Pond.

Next two hikes:
The first will be a short hike on Tuesday, July 10, around Hedges Pond. It is just over 2 miles on wood trails with some minor ups and downs. May be the weather will cooperate this time.
The second will be on Saturday, July 14, in the Burrage Pond Wildlife Management Area in Halifax/Hanson, about a half hour ride from here. Should be 4-5 flat miles. Details will follow.
As usually, we will carpool from the SBC parking lot at 9 am.
