Eight of us got a good workout on Saturday morning walking from
the bog off Beaver Dam Rd to the Pine Hills ridge, then south along the ridge,
past the fire tower, to the Ridge Overlook and back down to the bog. Almost 4
miles.
Next hikes:
The
next hike will be Thursday March 28th. We will hike around Hedges Pond, just a
little over two miles. The hike is mostly flat. Hedges Pond is a great
recreation area for the grandkids in the summer.
We
will leave at 10 am from the SBC parking lot.
The
next hike after that will be on April 13th in the Theodore Lyman
Conservation Area in Wareham. It will be a relatively flat 3 miles featuring
Red Brook and Buttermilk Bay
For this hike and those following till fall, we will start at 9
am.
